Our First Ever "O" Scale Model project amazed even us !

See Photos of some of our Production Models Below. . .

The Southern Pacific built 38 - S-12's between 1919-1923, and later upgraded them from 51" drivers to 57" drivers which gave them a bit more speed than their earlier S class sister engines. Lima built 10 - S-14 switchers for the SP in 1924-25 which were virtually the same design as the S-12's and beside the S-11's were the only Lima built switchers on the SP.

Espee's steam switchers were the work horses of the railroad, Working up freight trains in yards, Switching industrial sidings in the big cities and serving small towns with daily locals. They too had a glorious side to their career with some being assigned to passenger service making up famed trains such as the Coast Daylights and the City of San Francisco out of Los Angles and Oakland terminals. Amazingly, 16 of the 38 still exist today in parks or museums and a few are still under steam helping to preserve the history of the golden age of railroading.

Our Museum Quality Models were more than just "nice looking mantle pieces." They included working power reverse with actuating lifting links! Constant intensity reversing lights with lit tender markers! Pattern numbers and manufacture’s names on all important castings! A powerful motor driving a ball bearing gearbox making them a must- have for the “O” Scale operator.

GPM introduced four versions of these spectacular steam locomotive models:

Our Pilot Sample Model of Loco Number 1269 was finished as a 1940's - End of Steam version. She's sporting one the typical-on-Espee Switchers "Sausage" Tenders. That she didn't lack for detail can be readily seen, especially if you click on the photo and check out the enlarged view.

There has never been a switcher of this caliber produced for the "O" Scaler. . . Or for any other scale, for that matter. Can any serious S.P. collection be deemed "complete" without at least one 0-6-0?

Production quantities were extremely limited.
Delivery commenced Mid-August of 2006. The Models Lasted Only 2 Weeks.
