"C8" Class Loco 2698 Circa 1948, Late version with Class 100 C-3 tender. Our Catalog Number GPM-2698.2

For sheer numbers represented on the roster at any one time, the "C" Class Consolidations reigned supreme. The "Pacific Lines" had 441 of this class with many surviving up until the end of steam operations.

They could be found hauling peddler freights, in helper service on the Espee's many serious mountain passes, and oftentimes as "regulars" in the switching service pool.

As you may imagine, these "yeoman duty" locomotives were high on our list of personal favorites. Not only because of their great proportions. But also because they don't look out of place on the type of layout most guys can afford the space for in a home environment.

Never before produced with the level of detail and accuracy you have come to expect from Glacier Park Models, it only follws that these models were an immediate sellout.

With detailing only dreamed about a few years ago, these models will take their place amongst their new owners most prized posessions !
