5517 was built by the Pennsy's own Altoona shops in 1946 and
as such was one of the last T1s to receive the modified front end and other
cumulative
changes...
She remained under steam right up until 1951.. . As you can see she is missing the cam box covers on her cylinders, a detail never before captured in model form... |
