Our very first models were these wonderful Great
Northern "O-8" Class Mikados. It was back in 2002 that we
imported Three Distinct Model Versions of this unique
Heaviest-of-all-the-Prototype-Mikados-ever-built. Production quantities
were quite limited.
Besides the obsessive level of detail with which the name "Glacier Park Models" has become synonymous, these models featured Black Nickel Plated Wheelsets and Valve Gear which imparted an unheard of "steel-like appearance" that most other importers were quick to copy... Although long gone now, these beautiful models have certainly not been forgotten, so herewith we present photos of two of the three versions of these much sought after replicas. |
