Latest Update: January 18, 2010

The Santa Fe Hudsons were a very important part of that railroad’s rich history. Their huge "Disc" Drivers, Pantographing Smoke Lifters, and Legendary Speed are still told of wherever high speed rail travel is talked about.

Although the first recorded importing of a run of these high stepping beauties dates back into the 1950's, with several other runs thereafter, we felt the time had come to recreate them once again, this time applying the level of technology now available to us in the brass model field.

The models arrived in the summer of 2003 and were sold out almost immediatly. One only has but to look at #3461 below to ascertain why.

Production #3461.1 - Special features included:
  • Oversized "AT&SF Cross" Heralds on Tender
  • Baldwin Disk Drivers.

Production #3465.1 - Special features included:

  • No visible Steam Dome.
  • Smokebox Mounted Whistle.
  • Scullin Disc Driver on Main Only.
All versions were produced in very limited in quantities and are long since history.
