Our Pilot / Sample Model of "C8" Class Loco 2698 Circa 1948, Late version with Class 100 C-3 tender is shown above. It represents our Catalog Number GPM-2698.2

In September of 2007, it brought us great pleasure to introduce our most recent model run: The "C" Class Consolidations of the Espee in "O" Scale !

These models had been created in Lifetime Brass to our specifications by South Korea's Premier Builder of Brass Models, Boo-Rim Precision, for the astute Collector of Fine Hand Crafted Brass Models and the Serious "O" Scale Operator alike !

There were Six Very Distinctive Versions produced. Unfortunately, they came and went so fast the we didn't get the chance to chronicle each version. A fact for which we apologize, profusely. Time being in short supply, all we can say here is we'll try to post some photos of at least some of them in the days to come.

For sheer numbers represented on the roster at any one time, the "C" Class Consolidations reigned supreme. The "Pacific Lines" had 441 of this class with many surviving up until the end of steam operations.

They could be found hauling peddler freights, in helper service on the Espee's many serious mountain passes, and oftentimes as "regulars" in the switching service pool.

Our "C-8" Class Consolidation #2722 arrived in this guise, with a class 70 C-3 tender. All were lettered "SOUTHERN PACIFIC", as was the prototype, both pre and post 1946. Our Catalog Number GPM-2722.2

"C9" Class Consolidation #2799 is shown with here with Post 1946 Renumbering. Worthington BL Feed Water Heater, Roseville Smoke Deflector and a huge "Haystack" Tender ! Boy, was she distinctive!
Our Catalog Number GPM-2799.2
"C9" Class Consolidation #2811 is a classic. Her tender is a 100 C-3 type. She came equipped with an optional plow, "just in case..." She's shown here with the Post 1946 Renumbering paint scheme.
In this guise she bore our Catalog Number GPM-2811.2
She was also made available in the pre-1946 paint scheme, as our Catalog Number GPM-2811.1

As you may imagine, these "yeoman duty" locomotives were high on our list of personal favorites. Not only because of their great proportions. But also because they don't look out of place on the type of layout most guys can afford the space for in a home environment.

Never before produced with the level of detail and accuracy you have come to expect from Glacier Park Models, it only follows that these models were an immediate sellout.

With detailing only dreamed about a few years ago, these models will take their place amongst their new owners most prized posessions !
