GLACIER PARK MODELS is proud to have released a series of the S.P. Heavy Pacifics in Lifetime Brass for the astute Collector of Fine Hand Crafted Brass Models and the Serious Espee Operator alike ! Created for us by South Korea's Premier Builder of Brass Models, Boo-Rim Precision, these models were scheduled for delivery June of 2007. They came in right on schedule, and SOLD OUT IN THREE DAYS !

Because the Espee's Pacifics played such an important part in the railroad's rich history, not to mention the fact that they ranked high on our list of "Personal Favorites," we felt the was time ripe for recreating these beautifully proportioned creatures in model form using today's level of technology in the brass model field. You, our customers, must have felt the same way as the models were here and gone in only three days.

In 2007 GPM introduced SIX distinct versions of these essential locomotives as follows:

  • 2467.2 - Loco 2467 Circa 1940's Lettering with 120 C-3 Tender.
  • 2472.2 - Loco 2472 Circa 1940's Lettering with 120 C-3 Tender.
  • 2479.2 - Loco 2479 Circa 1940's Lettering with 120 C-8 Tender.
  • 2485.1 - Loco 2485 Circa Early 1940's - San Joaquin Daylight with 120 C-6 Tender.
  • 2485.2 - Loco 2485 Circa 1940's - De-Streamlined with 120 C-6 Tender.
  • 2487.2 - Loco 2487 Circa 1940's - Skyline Casing with 120 C-8 Tender.

As usual for GPM, these models were constructed to our specifications for us by South Korea's Premier Builder, Boo Rim Precision .

With detailing only dreamed about a few years back, the importance of models such as these to the serious collector of Brass Locomotive Models and / or Espee Motive Power must have been obvious. Production quantities were very limited. You might still find one at one of the GPM Dealers, so don't procrastinate !
